  • Youngest Captain of Swiftsure Regatta 1968, 1969. Racing a 40-foot sloop from Victoria, British Columbia to the treacherous entrance of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and back requiring 2 days of non-stop sailing.
  • Personally built and raced first boat. One design OK Dinghy US458. 1969

  • Newport Sailing Club, Newport Beach, California. Instructor and member.1980.

  • Numerous local sailing regatta and power boating experience for 30 years.
  • Approximately 40,000 nautical miles of cruising on sail and power boats along the west coast of the United States, British Columbia and Alaska.
  • Led mergers and acquisitions of 6 private dental practices in Seattle, Washington. 1989. Managed all staff and laboratories.
  • Clinical director and co owner of 6 dental offices in Washington State with 300 offices nationwide leading to an IPO in 1996.
  • Retired from dentistry and management of dentists and staff 1998.
  • Participated in the Americas Cup 2003 in New Zealand with the One World Challenge owned by Craig McCaw. Served Don Cowie and other team members while they took up residence in Seattle building citizenship.
