Engine Room

The stand-up engine room is accessed from the cockpit down a dedicated stairwell. A workbench with vise are located to starboard and the 20kw Onan generator in its own sound shield is to port. All exhaust systems are underwater for silent operation. White polyurethane protects all surfaces and gold trim valve covers sparkle in the additional lighting. Unlike over packed spaces this space has room to spare and makes inspections a breeze. Custom underwater exhausts suspended from spring mounts off the diesel tanks contribute to her quietness and minimize vibration. ZF transmissions are oversized and hydraulic power take off can be found on both engines. Custom through hull fitting allows for engine to serve as an emergency bilge pump. Sea recovery 1200gpd water maker has triple filtration and UV sterilizer before entering its storage tank and is then triple filtered and UV sterilized again when leaving the tank.

Electrical System

The electrical system of chargers and battery banks has been incorporated into its own designated space out of the heat of the engine room aft below the cockpit. New are the (10) batteries and Prosine Inverter/Charger 3.0. The switching between source voltages is handled seamlessly with no interruption of power to live systems. The relative coolness of the compartment contributes to an ideal environment for maximum battery efficiency and longevity of all electrical systems.

Cosmetic upgrades include features later incorporated into new vessels, which make Dolce Vita belie her age. The removal of striping is one example giving her a fresh as new look. Spare parts for major systems are included. Separate winter covers are included. Fresh and Salt water wash down forward.
